  • Free HRV Measurement Apps:
    Apps like Kubios, Elite HRV, Welltory, and HRV4Training allow you to measure HRV using your smartphone’s camera or an external heart rate chest belt.

  • Smartwatches:
    Such as the Apple Watch and Garmin models (e.g., Fenix 7, Epix) are excellent for tracking HRV and providing real-time data. They use optical (PPG) sensors.

    These sensors shine a light onto the skin and measure changes in blood flow to estimate heart rate and HRV.

    This method is less invasive and more convenient for continuous monitoring, especially during daily activities and sleep.

  • Heart Rate Monitors:
    Like the Polar H10 chest belt, which use electrocardiogram (ECG) sensors to measure the electrical activity of the heart.

    This method is often used in clinical settings and by athletes for precise HRV measurements. Devices like the Polar H10 chest belt are highly accurate and widely used in many gyms too.
